Two pieces of Spanish Olive Wood on slimline pen kits, each has its own center band made from resin .. Finished with friction polish and waxed with U Beaut EEE-Ultra Shine Paste Wax on the first coating and U Beaut Shellawax Cream on the second coating ..

Just to add, after sanding these i wiped them over with BLO, and left a few hours to dry, this helps fetch out the grain when finishing them .. Well for me it does ...

Jim,

An interesting finishing technique. I use EEE cream - swear by it along with she'll away friction, however, I use them in the other order! Sand to 600, apply a small bit of EEE and polish with the grain, this will clean the wood and bring out the grain. If you have put the right amount on, a few more strokes will bring up a shine which is a great base for friction. Then apply a small amount of shellawax or friction as you would otherwise do, I normally use shellawax on a running lathe.

Jim,
The weather may be getting to me her in the middle of France but I thought that you were using the friction polish first and then putting the EEE on top?
