Glued this blank up over the weekend from some worm ridden Bog Oak, the highlights are aluminium & black plastic

Young Jim had very kindly sent me the kit after I'd had a chat with him at the Newark show, thanks Jim & apologies for it taking so long to get made up.
I've had 3 attempts at photographing the pen & these are the best I've managed, doesn't help when Photobucket is being unresponsive, ironically the photo of the blank was taken on my phone & is about the best picture :nooidea:

That sure looks better than the one and only piece of Bog Oak i have turned Doug .. The wood suits the pen plating for sure .. :thumbs:

Like that effort Doug the finished pen belied the blank potential lovely pick of the featured top. I was surprised by the brownness (new word?) of the blank, worked into a beaut pen the top feature increased the interest 100%.

Managed to get out in the natural daylight today to photograph a couple of pens I've turned so I thought I'd see if I could get better shots this pen, again only taken with my IPhone but I think they are better even though I can't edit them as Photobucket is playing silly beggars
