Tis a beautiful wood, and you've got a brilliant finish on that one. Think that the gun metal fountain and rollerball JR Gents show off most blanks to their best due to the contrast.

It's very nice, great blank choice. Is this the Black Ti or gunmetal?

Thanks for the comments

Is this the Black Ti or gunmetal?

It's the Black Titanium Peter, though holding it against at TB gun metal Jr Gent there isn't a great deal of difference in colour, on the TB one the top is black as is the ring in the centre band where as Dans has a chrome top & ring in the centre band.
I do prefer the metal threads on Dans though

Bocote grain can be outstanding you picked a ripper mate I have my own thoughts about threads etc not the same hangovers having had these threads on timeless pens in the past with never a problem. Your kir blends in seamlessly with this exciting timber one of the best Bocote Doug one to be proud of.
