Here's one I turned yesterday. Another PSI pen that a friend asked me to make for them. It's a first for me and the first time I've made a pen with a magnetic lid, not a screw on one.

I turned it exactly to the bushes, but to my mind the wood on the lid still looks a little big against the narrowed Celtic top piece - not the most balanced design, but the person I made it for likes it and that's what matters.

Of all these celtic type kits this is probably the nicest but I think I would have considered knocking the coloured bead off and replacing it with wood. A lovely pen with a nice blank and finished very nicely :thumbs:

Having seen the quality of these kits at close hand i ain't going to knock it my friend .. It changed my perspective of the kits for sure ..

David liking new kits is my speciality cause it means going forward not for me I would not keep up financially when you make for someone and they love it thats the pinnacle in pen making mate.
Thanks for showing this pen David that green top special for our Irish friends as well.

That's a nice blank David and well turned. I don't care for the kit but the customer does and that's what counts
