Hi all my two finished walnut Omega's...
One in Gold FP cleaned with spirit and then CA finish and buffed
The other Gun metal with a few coats of Tru oil (a shellac based stock finish) again buffed....

Couple of nice pens Mark, think my choice would be gold the finish makes the grain pattern stand out, gunmetal looks a bit flat

One pic is a compromise the Gold one wins with the grain shown but I feel the top one with a gun metal top would be a stunner, slip the gun metal top on the top one and prove me right or wrong mate, both came up well it takes a larger pen to carry walnut.

Some great looking character in those well turned and finished timbers.
The Gun Metal plating works for me.
It stands up better than the gold plating with extended use.

I have to admit I like the gun metal one. Never liked the gold pens, always felt they looked tacky, knowing they aren't actually gold.

I do prefer the CA finish for pure shine though. :)
