Following my cutting up of a piece of Yew or two for blanks (from Neil Lawton's supply) I thought I had better turn a bit, so, we have a couple of Zeta's in gun metal & rhodium dressed in Yew with a CA finish

What a very nice wood to turn, first time I have used it.

Two beauties there Billy. Yew is a beautiful timber especially if you can keep a little bit of sapwood. I use a lot of Yew, I love it. A word of warning though Billy, only light sand yew as it is very prone to heat shakes in the end grain from the build up of heat from sanding. The shakes go deep:thumbs: & can't be sanded out.
