as you can see I've made the obvious rookie mistake of assembling the long blank the wrong way round.
I was going to try and disassemble but the tool I have for disassembling is for slimlines. Any advice?

Easy mistake to make Peter. It also looks like you have some chip out on the upper section near the centre band.As Jim says a set of transfer punches are very useful

think I know why there was some chipping, I forgot the basic cutting rule cut in from both ends. Opposed to what I dun did, one cut straight across. :rolling::rolling::rolling:

That would do it, or tools not being sharp enough or being too heavy handed. Been there, done that, got the t shirt on all three :whistling:
It's all a learning curve :thumbs:
