Got back early from the shoot today, so managed to get a couple of commissions completed...
One I absolutely love...
The guy who wants it, left it to me, and I'm happy with the result... (i'm fussy)
He's lucky to get it.. Wifey photo'd it with her Iphone for me, and dam near kept it :rolling:

In terms of the skill required to make it...... (well... it wasnt difficult) but end result in 2 colour yew, is lovely...

The other pen shown was another commission, Bocote, ( I love) satin Nickel metal......(I hate) waste of a good piece of wood... but the customer is always right.. :ave_it:

I wanted to do it in Gunmetal........ alas..............

That's a smart piece of Yew Matty, you really can see the heart wood in the colours. I can understand why you wanted to keep it ... :bwink:

Bocote is a wood i love to use, it turns very easy and you can get a great finish on it .. Two nice pens there Matty ...

Nice looking pens. I like to work with both those woods. I would agree, I would not have chosen the satin finish with Bocote, but as long as the customer is happy that's all that matters.
