That is the first bit of Black locust ( Robinia ) burr I have seen in a long time love it well done

Many thanks guys for the kind comments.

I got another one of Darios Locust blanks turned this weekend. I added a bit of Tortoise shell acrylic. I didn't think about the pen tube showing through but it doesn't look too bad. It gives a nice golden colour.
This is the second project i have used ca glue and I personally really like the high gloss finish.

I'm using a slimline pen hardware, unfortunately I broke the transmission as I pushed it in the brass tube.

I think it is time to start investing in some good quality kits.
