The spalting wiped out the skin features as it turned down. Man that is tough stuff found a couple of normal blanks last night. I never give up on these love em. I thought I was well into my Spalted blanks but no many still to come including some rare as ones. Over time I have bought so many, so many surprises yet. Being isolated blank wise in exotics only one blank in many at a time worth turning IMHO. One I found my mate scrounged from a refit in a house, just some the owner burnt the rest (unbelievable shame).

Peter.
