One of the many faces of this extraordinary timber rare as now from up north in Australia. Flashes of colour where the sapwood meets the heartwood. One of the worlds heavy dense timbers. Just a glimpse into the possibilities of these blanks. A famous maker in Aus of hand planes seeks out the timber for his top of the line wood planes. He shared some small pieces with me.

Peter.

Nice one Peter as Terry said I also like the difference between the light and dark wood.
