Just finished a bolt action pen in Antique Beech - reclaimed the Beech from an old Frister & Rossman sewing machine base dated 1901-1903. Finished in melamine.

Unless the F&R base gives the pen some significance it is very plain. On the other hand it provides a beaut contrast with(in line with the sewing machine) the very showy black of the kit giving a to me a beaut pen.

Thanks Peter! I liked the idea of reclaiming the old wooden base and as the machine can be accurately dated - the wood is over 100 years old.
