This is one of the "wonky" blanks I posted a while back.
The wood was given to me by the chap who actually planted the tree 50 or so years ago, so this is a present for him.

That's a lovely looking piece of timber, other than drilling did it present any other issues?

It was a bit like trying to turn concrete to be honest.
I had to square the ends on the big disc sander as the one I made for pens just wouldn't take anything off! Think I had to touch up the edge 3 times to make one pen!
