    Segmented Knot

Not really happy with this one.
Spalted Maple and Bloodwood. Seems mismatched.

The knotting is great the confusions created by the timber choice creates the over busy background in pic 1 and in pic 2 the top character is leading the eye to it equal to the knot which incidentally a different and neat design IMHO.
Someone noted the need for choice as to where you make the impression, grain or decoration. In diamond inclusions establish authenticity.

Keep up with the designs Angelo they are welcome.

I'm with Peter on this. I would have saved the knot work for a plainer piece and let the maple sing for itself on this occasion I'm afraid. Still a good looking pen though, but I can see why you're you're a little disappointed.

I like it Angelo, I can see how you could have fun with bloodwood knots and some heavily 'lime sulphured' wood.
