Hi guys, just wanted to share with you all my latest projest, it a fountain pen that has 2000 pieces of blue dyed poplar and cherry veneer in.

This was a real challenge to glue up and also try and drill perfectly in the middle because trying to hold a 5 sided object in a 4 jaw chuck doesn't work very well!

I hope you all like it, it took about 30 hours to make, I also uploaded the video on making it to YouTube so if you want to watch it being made here is a link for you :)

What a great looking pen James, so very intricate, I like what you did to the Omegas middle. Well done indeed.:drool::thumbs:

Thanks John! I got some of these kits for a giveaway at the beginning of the year and thought it would work so I got some more for this project, I think it would be a good project for someone who wants to try a kitless pen but doesn't have to right tools...like me lol!

Excellent work there, and a lot of patients in that....
I too have used and 'adjusted' the Omega kit, it's very flexible:whistling:

That is one hell of a blank and made one superb pen James.

My paitience would have given out after the first 30 mins, never mind 30 hours.

Credit to your skill and patience show through in abundance.
