Hi Guys,
Just finished a Mistral fountain pen kit with black titanium fittings and black ti accents, for an author/writer. The wood is good an old favourite, Thuyr burl wood.
Finished in CA glue, 12 coats, sanded down to 600 grit and polished to finish using 12000 grit and t-cut.
It’s lustre is very deep and one hopes he enjoys using it.
Kelvin.

Beautiful CA finish Kelvin. What background do you use for your photos and do you use natural light? I found using white card with natural light works best for me. Nick

We tend to use a white roller blind, only 600mm wide pulled down from a cupboard onto a table top. Place the pen onto the roller blind, just before the curve. We have two side led lamps and a third overhead lamp, just for fill in light if needed. All lights are white daylight bulbs. We also use a Nikon D5000, with 18-55mm lens, or Canon D7, with 17-85mm lens.
