    My finest hour

Well so far it is, I have been struggling all week with this and had a few attempts at it.
Maybe Jim is right I should stick to Slimline's to start with.
I am happy with this as a finished item and the customer is simply overjoyed with it.
It does look a lot better in the flesh, I took the pictures which I have to apologize for as it is my first attempt at photography too.
My mate has done them for me until now I am going to try to upload them myself.
Customer supplied the blank African blackwood, had a price tag of 1.10 must ask him where from and get some myself.
I have some questions to ask while I was doing this maybe I'll find a Q&A on here before asking or start another thread.
Then bugger me if I didn't see this as I was browsing the IAP in today's posts, would have made a great pair I think.

Hope the pictures appear here goes.

George, if you'd said that was your 700th pen nobody would have batted an eye. A real beauty and the sapwood 'streak' makes it even better.

    Well done!

Try Stiles and Bates for wood blanks they have a wide selection of woods from all over the world not always the cheapest and you may have to cut down larger blanks but quality is normally good
