Oak Burr on Gold Plated Slimline

This is the pen that was turned yesterday when Terry called by ... Today i had to replace it back on the lathe and take off the CA finish as i had left the dust spots on the wood from sanding which was showing through the finish. I also noticed this morning that i had the bottom barrel on the wrong way round, and finally i had put the pen together without removing the CA glue that forms around the blank edges. I hate to see what Terry's pens are going to look like ... :whistling:

Looks good to me Jim, nice bit of burr and a good finish to it.
Any reason for not putting the gold center band in?

I try to keep away from the issued center bands George, and put my own on them .. Thou to be honest on this one after i had to take off the first coating of CA and re-sand it i could of used the original band ... :whistling:

Your bands are very good but I think in this case the original would have suited it well.
Just my opinion but one I am afraid you are stuck with LOL.
