Morning folks

Here are the first two wooden pens and my first acrylic that I have done. I have only been at this a few short weeks as stress relief from a ridiculously busy job in law.

I am here to learn and listen. Based in Swansea

Superb start and great first effort.

Watch out with the plastic display boxes you have the slimline in, the center clip on those boxes can mark the pen sides.

The blue slimline looks goo, it looks like the tubes just showing through on the ends of the pen, to prevent this then colour/pain the inside of the blank after the hole has been drilled. that way you wont see the glue or the tube. Some just pain the tube, but then risk seeing the glue under the blank after its turned.

Hope that helps.

Keep them coming.

A mighty fine trio to start with, I think Eamonn ( silver's) advice is good... I always paint the hole on acrylic blanks....:thumbs:

Thank you all. The advice and comments are most welcome and will only serve to make be better at this. What I am finding is that this hobby can take you wherever you want it to which for me, makes it very special. Also, already other highly experienced turners have offered brilliant advice so thank you all.

The best examples of cartridge pens come from many members on this forum one particularly proficient expert is Les from Red Deer in Canada IMHO.
He makes a sells to weapon people at shows etc in quantities.
