This blank was about 5mm short for a full slimline pen hence the red center band. It is one of the blanks from the cracked acrylic pen tubes .. I had to turn the tube to get to the blank which caused both ends to crack crumble from the pressure held in the lathe ..

Not sure on the colours for me.... I dont like wasps, and every time I look at the photo....... its buzzing and flying at me :eeeeek:.... Nicely turned though, and good recovery.. :thumbs:
