I have just done my first blank casting, which is also my first Chiyogami paper attempt. The Chiyogami I would say was a success, but I need some help with the casting, please.

In a couple of the pics, you can see light areas where it seems the resin has not stuck to the label properly.

After I had glued on the paper, I waited 24 hrs, then sealed the paper with acrylic lacquer. 24 hrs later I cast in PR, removing bubbles with a cocktail stick. I do not have pressure or vacuum gear.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I've been trying to solve the same solution for a long time now Harry and get it even with pressure.

I would say that you need to wait longer before casting, I used to wait a minimum of 3 days but quite often 10 days to make sure the glue and varnish were fully cured.

Like your way George you cast incredible blanks. I notice a guy in Australia took you on with your small sliced nut casts the quality of your casting masterful.
