Here is the pen turned from Stuarts Swirl Blanks .. It was fun turning it and the picture doesn't do it credit .. The center band is made from alternate ivory with Slimline accents ...

Nice effort Jim. How did the new lathe go????

Well worth the wait Terry, i turned two pens on it today, but put the finish on with the Nova, i didn't want to dirty the bench ... :whistling:

Well that looks quite nice thank you Jim for being the guinea pig, any issues to feedback?

Was this Polyester Stuart? If so it was very soft all the way through where normally the first 50% of the blank is a tad brittle this wasn't, it felt as thou there was not enough catalyst in the mix, if it was another substance then stick with it as i found it very easy to turn, thou very stringy which leaves plenty of mess lol .. :thumbs:
