Elm bowl / platter that doesn't look like a chamber pot !!!

Finished this this morning before going to the Christmas fair.
Elm approx. 9 inch diam, the middle was sprayed black with Chestnut ebonising spray.
Some of the voids in the rim have been filled with copper powder & CA, don't know if you can see it or not in the photo's.
Finished in sanding sealer & Chestnut spray acrylic lacquer.

Oh, and just noticed the sawdust in the photo's on the left of the rim, well I was in a rush !!!

I also like it the shape is nice i would try scorching with a blow torch instead of ebonising just to see how it comes out might try it well done looks great.

Very Nice Steven, have you ever tried putting stone into the holes? I've used some and get some great results.
