Olive Wood cut 80 yr old trees about 3/4 ton from a disused Grove neglected for years.

I cut the long pieces I brought home to shorts about a foot or so long looking for the elusive grain. Found some only.

Today I cut one piece 5 yrs later another reason I like Slimlines I can cut my preference cross cut around 1 inch square and follow the grain.

Quick pic flash.

Peter.

I agree it has grain all through the pic of the slice shows the shakes all through I avoided completely one time I would have gone for slimmer blanks but now I would rather one one inch sound blanks to allow adjustment I throw away inferior blanks too little time.
