Hello, it's nice to be here. It's due to meeting some of you today at York that I'm here, I enjoyed your company.
I served my time as a joiner in a pattern shop in Consett steel works in 1959 where I started turning as part of my job. In 1980 I joined a training scheme as an instructor until 1984 when I started my own joinery business until 2003 when I retired through ill health. In 1964 I joined the T.A. until 1969. I am now retired & am a member of Blind Veterans UK a charity which helps blind & partially sighted armed forces personnel.
