So I've been casting pen blanks for a while now and last week my kids wanted to get involved. They each have a colour of preference so I thought perhaps this would be a quick and easy pour. Nope!
Once they found my stash of pigments and worked out how to use the scales to divvy up resin unto multiple cups there was no stopping them. I think there are 8 colours in these... at least.

My day job has got in the way of me turning any of them, but I'm looking forward to it.

Waiting on a pen kit delivery at the moment, but will get one or two done ASAP and will report back with results.

Hi Gary.

In the last pic the three on the right were pressure cast and the 4 on the left were not. The resin I'm using at the moment is very good for degassing without the need for pressure.

The slight size difference is to do with the mould used for each batch rather than a presure / no pressure thing.

I make my own silicone moulds and the narrower ones are designed for slimline pens and slightly slimmer to reduce wasting resin.
