Good afternoon on this Christmas day and I hope Santa has been generous to you this year.

Santa gave me a lovely Canon SX730 HS Camera this year, no idea how he knew I wanted a camera but somehow he did :thinks:

Now I just don't know if I should be angry or just annoyed with Canon, Firstly the place to put the wrist strap on the camera is blocked, they supplied the wrist strap but make it impossible to put on, now if that was not bad enough whilst waiting for the battery to charge, a moment of madness fell upon me and I started to read the instructions :noway1:

anyway the instructions say I have to insert a compatible memory card along with the battery before using it for the first time, a card that for some stupid reason they do not supply with the camera :shocking:

So I have a lovely new camera that I am unable to use until a memory card that I have just purchased gets delivered, oh yes nearly forgot to mention that it also does not come with a data transfer cable, no wi-fi or Bluetooth on it either.

Happy blinkin Christmas Canon :madashell:

I looked up the camera sales specs and it is wifi/bluetooth computable with iPhones/tablets and Android phones/tablets so if you have either of those you can send the pictures to them. It also uses the very common SD card that every electronics/computer store here stock so you could, if those store are like here have Boxing Day sales tomorrow, go pick one up. While I agree they should come with a basic card etc but don't these days. As for the cord that sounds like a screwup that Canon would fix with an exchange. Once you get sorted out you should enjoy it.

Thanks for that Peter,

I am one of the few that does not have a mobile phone :rolling:

I have this desktop computer that runs off windows so no Bluetooth on camera for me although this comp does have bluetooth :sob:
