It’s been a while since I posted on here. Covid for some reason stopped me doing my thing for some stupid reason. I haven’t been in my shed for over 18 months. I have taken the decision to get my backside out of gear and get up their tomorrow and have a sort out and tidy up. Hopefully I should start turning a bit in the next few weeks.

Welcome back Vic Like you I have not been in the workshop for a good 9 months(No I was not pregnant:funny::funny::funny:) garden and house renovations as well as a new larger workshop with some new toys in there

Hope your health is better now and that you get plenty of time in yours even if it is metal bashing as well.

Take a guess
You have my sympathy re the covid Vic, I caught it over 14 months ago & am still having problems just finished another course of antibiotics & now waiting on an X-ray on me lungs. It’s not stopped me going in the workshop though that’s more to do with having bills to pay rather than wanting to be in there, best of luck.

Hi I may have miss led you when I said Covid for some reason had put a break on my Woodturning. I am one of the lucky ones who have not had it yet. My problem was that after my first jab of Astra Zenica I was rushed into hospital with blood clots on my lungs on blood thinners now. On top of that I have been diagnosed with Generalised Eruptive Keratoacanthoma a rare form of skin cancer. It took nearly 12 months to get to the diagnosis as there have only been 30 or so cases Worldwide in the last 70 years. It caused a problem with my eyes Entropian and I couldn’t get on the lathe. Thankfully they have me on some medication and things are starting to improve. I am waiting to go into hospital for an operation on my eyes :sob:

It's times like these when you seriously start to question if you should keep the nickname of lucky or not :whistling:

On a serious note I wish you the very best in moving forward and hope the road ahead is easier than the road you have just come down.

Nice to see you back Vic. I too have been on a long absence from turning but can’t wait for the weather to break and get back on the lathe.

Hi Vic,

Vic Perrin. What ever you do, don’t say “free to a good home” as Garno Gary will be at your house like a shot having another attempt at getting Gold in the “Talk for England” group. I may remind you he already has at least 10 medals to his name. He is a “new entrant” (member) at that.. so don’t say you haven’t been warned :funny:

Got your message by the way, have replied and will catch up when back home.

Seen the word "Free" mentioned, had my coat on and was halfway to the car when Mrs G dragged me back in to the house to read the rest of your post silver :face:

Vic I would like to share a modern miracle I just experienced,I have been plagued with double vision, giddiness and being a frequent faller for a long time now and recently recived treat ment from a Giddiness specialist who eliminated most of my probs, first visit I drove home from absolutely can see the real country mile clearly, my side vision is the best in my memory ever, something to do with moving the crystals in the ears back to where they should be ,for me a modern miracle.
