Not sure these days what a Bank Holiday is they went out so long ago over here. I am not singing Auld Lang Sine ? spelling yet, simply licking my wounds and preparing for pens. You have with your inimitable smile carried this forum with some others for a while now. I appreciacte your good spirits and cammeraderie. Thanks mate.

Whats a bank holiday Mark everyday is a holiday. That is no excuse for not posting anything woodturning as you know I am spending so much time gardening and playing with little bits of metal. I must try harder to turn some wood I keep looking at the lathe OOOPS wrong lathe:whistling: must throw a piece of wood onto the old girl and give her a whirl (No not the wife):face:

Still reading but the turning has taken a backseat whilst I've been building a new, desk/workbench/structure/storage thingy for my wife and daughters art room - it's nothing really fancy all 2"x2" framing a mix of 25mm and 12mm mdf, mortice & tenon joints I think around 80! Also 2m tall at one end and over 2m long... but it takes my weight so should be sturdy enough for everything they want to use it for !

Still the work produced here is always great to see and something to keep aspiring too.

Regards

Padster

Holidays were those things that you got before you retired.
I think that I'll go and put the kettle on, and put my feet up for a while.

Must admit I have been so busy on loads of other "hobby" stuff that I resurrected in lockdown #1, along with commissioned jobs kept me busy from the middle of last year. things settled again now so stocking up ready for s few craft fairs that we have planned for the summer.

But still turning and making plenty of boxes.
