It's been 4 months since I held a tool not alone used one. Have been feeling good and therapy is going very well. Range of motion is good, strength is improving daily. One of my therapists has 2 small boys so I thought I would try to turn a couple tops for them. Sharpening tools, turning, sanding and texturing went well. However by the end of the day I have some pain. Going to give it a couple more weeks before I try again. Felt great turning again. Really miss it.

A couple of nice and easy bits to start back into turning. just take it easy and listen to your body it will let you know how much can be done in any one time.

Great job on the tops they should be a welcome gift

You got to love those spinning tops Terry, they sure do catch the eye with the great colours in them .. Also good to hear you are almost ready to spin full time soon my friend but don't ruin all your rehabilitation over the past months trying to get back to early ..

Well done, its nice to return to a state of normality, but as others have said nice and steady does it, when you begin to feel the strain, leave and come back, it can wait.

I'm sorry it's taking so long Terry. But the good news is you haven't lost what it takes. I hope your recovery continues apace!! Some more lathe therapy in a couple of weeks and hopefully you'll be firing on all cylinders again shortly afterwards.
