My wife and I work at a PMLD school, she runs a musical theatre session the latest being Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and she asked if I could make a car for it so being the nice husband I am I said yes, the proviso being the children needed to be involved in making it and it had to be wide enough for their wheelchairs to enter the back for photos.006 (640x427).jpg
It ended up about 10 feet long had to have a dash and a steering wheel and then a horn.
Now that is finished I can get back to some turning, but it was great the children got involved painting, using an orbital sander and putting things and to see their reaction when they saw it was very rewarding one young lad just said whaw when he saw it.
