4 years ago I was "ordered" to make a wedding postbox for my son and future daughter in law. At that time I'd never heard of them but it was well received and last weekend finally brought it back with them from their friends wedding in France. Apparently it's been used now at 6 weddings with a further two to come. This pic was taken before I'd made the card holder which fixes to the front. All they did was print out a new card for each couple.
I told him he's an idiot as he could have made a tidy sum hiring it out.

I'll sort it out Steve, I'm sure I have the info on a hard drive. Just looked at pics of modernish boxes and drew the plans on back of an envelope.
Made out of MDF and letters were cut with a scrollsaw. Has a locking door at the back. Spray painted with the correct postbox red but can't remember where I bought the cans of spray paint.
The box has already left for its' next venue apparently, so well travelled it should have its' own passport. :funny:

At the time I made it they were very sought after and you could buy them in various colours, cardboard boxes were also available at £30 plus. They are used at the reception where guests can post gift vouchers, money, cards etc. and being lockable it's pretty safe from potential theft as well. You could buy original boxes and also hire them for the day but as my daughter in law said "why do that when you have a man who can make one"

Probably your's Paul, you are the stamp master after all!
