As part of a box of various woods I bought there was a 2x2x12" piece of Idigbo. And I found an old, very old, pack of Milliput, having seen others inlay bowls etc. with this thought I'd have a go at it. Practice piece really. As one can see from the photo the Milliput did not mix properly due to it's extreme age but it did all harden overnight, turning and finishing quite well. Have any others of you done any inlaying with Milliput? box 1 (1 of 1).jpg

Hi Tony, I had some pens engraved, but they went a little bit deeper than they thought..... Oh well I used Milliput to infill afterwards. The pen was complete prior to the engraving so I needed to be careful, but it didn't cause any problems really... received_352697899199443.jpg

I just don’t like engraving pens at all. Always told people that ask for them to be engraved is pop to Blackpool if you want engraving. Plenty in the tat shops.

That said one of my regular extremely valued customers wanted some engraving with their logo, needles to say I did do it. Brought a NEJE from Brad and it paid for itself so at least I have gained a new toy.

So I will do them but against my fighting will. (And if the price is right :winking:):funny::funny:

I'd be interested in knowing more about this - new toys and capabilities always intrigue me! :whistling:

The NEJE laser engraved I have is an old one now, there are many newer types out there.

If you search NEJE you will find loads of stuff online for it.

As I said, mine came from a fellow forum member as he struggled to get it going and run.

I have stripped the electronics out and replaced them with an industry well supported standard so I can run decent software on it.
