Greetings all, here is my modified Etesia in Yew,pictured with a standard Etesia.Length of original is 120mm,length of modified 140mm.The longer one does sit in my hand more comfortably than the original. However, its horses for courses.I will be offering both to customers and see what the preference is.C&C's welcome.

Very nice looking pens.

I would be pushed to make a choice but I think I would opt for the larger one out of the two.
It would be a difficult choice as I would be happy with either

Nice job Geoff. Presumably you've put some kind of rod in there to compensate for the extra length, so that the refill still extends to the correct length - right?

Hi Phil,go to the top of the class!Yes,the barrel is extended by lengthening the tube. This was done by cutting a spare tube to the reqd length, then a plastic spacer corresponding to the extra barrel length was loosely inserted into the mechanism.
Is there any possibility you may be able to offer an 80mm long tube and a plastic spacer as an option to the Etesia.Maybe the Scirocco and Zephry too?I guess you would have to do your research before you say yea or nay.Worth thinking about though.
Cheers.
