A friend gave me a small Basswood blank this wood is a very soft hard wood and as light as a feather but it is a lovely wood to turn this piece turned beautifully 6” x 3” took very little time to compleat in fact it took a lot longer to lacquer

Nice bowl. All the woodcarvers in our guild love Basswood as it is perfect for their needs. I shouldn't have said "All the carvers" as there is one that won't touch it. He only carves Cottonwood bark. There always has to be one. :whistling:
