I drill my blanks on the lathe and as age catches up with me I am finding it harder and harder turning the wheel.

None off us are getting younger:sob::sob:
Have you thought about turning/ making a bigger wheel you could include spokes to assist you with turning(ie boat captain wheel) you would be surprised how it only needs a small increase to be easier to turn....... Just a thought:thinks::thinks:

Some metal turners have adapted their tail stocks so that a lever action is used when drilling If I can find one I will post a picture. Also search for

Not what I was looking for but an idea that could be made look at page 12 at the bottom

Or something like this but then you need some machining experience go to 23:30 in the video

I have thought about these but you are limited to a 1" travel. :sob:

SENSITIVE DRILL ATTACHMENT.,(MT-2). | eBay

I found this review on amazon.:sob:

This is a pretty small chuck. It doesn't really specify what size chuck, so I took a shot. I was hoping it could be useful for drilling for Pen Turning, but since it's so small, I can't really use it. I can however maybe use it as a pen press to press the hardware together.
