I got the blank from Lincolnshire wood craft I visited him after meeting him at Newark show its the first bit of exotic wood I have turned so made sure I took my time as I'm sure your aware there not cheap :thumbs:

Nice bit of wood and shape looks good.

Cap top looks a little over turned and centre band looks as though it's on upside down..?

Pic a little dark as well.

Treasure your Red Mallee it is getting rarer and yes will be double the price in no time just so much of the burl and its getting a premium amongst getters. Small price if you could see the getting conditions, handling. To get to you it has to be pressure bark removed , certified insect and bark free. You do realise it is sold on wet price from the getter.THen comes the packing, freight, customs sending , receiving customs GST here and your majesties cut there.
