Excellent all round, Eamonn.
Great looking timber in your pen, well suited to the Mistral, and a good looking spalted box to go with it.
I like everything about this.

Eamonn,how beautiful your choice and discretion using this fabulous timer. In no way does it overpower the terrific pen,your internal finishing in this one off box impeccable. Totally gobsmacked my friend ,the intro from Ash ,the piece de resistance you acheived certainly provides me with tons of inspiration in these dark times we are coming through over here.Summarily beautiful yellows and slashing blacks warm the cockles of my system. Thank you for your level of perfection thus placed on the forum.Kind regards mate.:thinks::thinks::thinks::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Mate, that's just stunning!! Maser birch is one of my favourite woods, but that takes it to a whole new level with the dark lines running through it.
Really nice job:drool::drool:

Thank you, I just need to sell it now!

Not been able to do some turning for a while as lost my mojo due to ongoing health issues. But thanks to Bill giving me some great tips has got me back in to it.

Peter

Thank you Peter,

As always appreciate your feed back on my pens and boxes my friend, Masur birch and spalted Beech are not a patch on some of the Australian woods but a good 2nd best I think.

Yes difficult times for everyone in the world at the moment.

Found it difficult to get in the workshop for a while because of so many failures due to health conditions and lost my pen/box mojo a little.

But after talking to Bill Mooney it certainly helped and inspired me to get back in to it again.

Trials and tribulations of life throw you a curved ball at times, but learning to bat it back with help from people like Bill helps a lot.

By the way, it Sold as soon as I put it on my page! Bonus..:banana:
