A few weeks back Terry Q posted some stabilised spalted maple for sale on here so I gave to a go and it arrived a couple of days ago.

Its really lovely stuff and I wish I had asked for more. Anyway thanks Terry, and here is what I made with it.

Cheers
Ash

Yet another very nice looking example of your skill at pen turning! I wish you’d post something rubbish from time to time ... only joking! :funny:

Brilliant, I like the contrast of the high gloss acrylic against the less glossy wood finish too

Thank you all for the kind comments. I appreciate them.

I forgot to mention the details in the original post, and I know some folk like to know so:
Material: Spalted (stabilised) maple and cellulose acetate
Cap Threads: 13x0.8 triple lead
Section threads: 10x0.75
Length open: 134mm
Length closed: 140mm
Diameter: 15.3mm
This pen doesn’t post.

Cheers
Ash
