    Osage Orange

I was asked to make a pen to compliment a pair of sunglasses. I was given a lot of scope for interpretation and I didnít want to just make a tortoiseshell pen that looked the same as the glasses so I went for something to provide a bit of contrast whilst hopefully keeping the same sort of aesthetic.

This is made from Osage orange wood and cellulose. I added white accents to pick out the white detail on the edge of the glasses.

Itís a Jowo nib and threads are 13mm.

    Cheers
    Ash

You have done that so well, for me that's the right amount of everything, timber, acrylic and accent. Upto your usual very high standards... Well done

Another fine example of your craft.I have some Osage Orange blanks.Looking forward to using them.
A little known fact about this timber; In medieval times,if Yew for longbows was in short supply,Osage Orange was used instead, as like Yew it makes for a very good wood for longbows.
    Grumpier by the day.

Another beauty Ash. I’m not sure about the white spacers though on this one?

Thanks and yep it’s a fair point. It was my attempt to tie it in with the white bits on the end of the glasses.

    Cheers
    Ash
