Hi All,

These are 3 more Cypriot Olive blanks harvested 300+ years ago.... These were really dry, so they had a little soak in warm oil and left a couple of weeks. I don't know if it did any good, but it certainly hasn't hurt them and I do like the resultsIMG_20220524_131110.jpg

Like as before, Mark, lovely olive wood, with very good deep grain. Well done for soaking the wood in oil before turning. I did it once to a "special" piece of olive wood and the depth of the grain left was twice as good as the original dry olive.
Like them, a lot.

Cheers Penpal, I appreciate that. My colleague keeps coming back from Cyprus with little carrier bags with salvaged lumps of Olive. The last pieces came from underneath a 300 year old building..... I do like his little presents!!:banana:

Can,t imagine what reasons to salvage under a 300 yr old building but on the other hand may they prosper and continue sharing mate.
