Brown burr Oak pen

Just finished this pen took a while the blank had a lot of voids in it that is quite common with Burr Oak that had to be filled

Have you used the spray lacquer on this or just your normal finishing method?

Have you had any issues with spray Melamine like hairline cracks. I use it on my carvings and did have the cracking issue on one piece. Maybe i rushed it or it was to thick.

No M8 I only apply thin coats with a bit of denibing till happy with the finish

Top notch pen my friend. When i have a blank with voids i wet sand using 220 grit and thin CA. Takes a bit of practice but works well for me.

Hi Terry I do that towards the end but use saw dust with ca initially
