The one on the right is Laburnum, any guesses on the one on the left?

Not even sure where or how to start that stuff - so for now I'll just remain impressed!

Honestly Mark, if you have a jig with a hold-down for the table saw, do 4 cuts and have veneer to fill the kerf, these 'knots' are very do-able.
Give them a go sometime.
