    Spanish Olive

    Hi all,
Two of Phils Sirocco's dressed also in his Spanish Olive, I must say it turned very easy and quickly but I think that was due to Olive being quite oily/moist.... Not like the dry dusty stuff I have been turning of late....
Still, looks nice with good grainIMG_20220621_133718.jpg

I like those match very well, both as a pair and as wood with the kits

For some reason, Spanish olive wood is more oily than others from around its region. I have Maltese, Spanish, Italian and Greek, all are different texture and the way they turn.
Still, a very nice pair Mark.

    Yes.. The workshop smelt great!
The last Olive I turned was 500year old Cypriot Olive, I think that was age that made it dry and hard!
