    Brown and Teal

Another pen made from vintage cellulose. This one has a number 5 Bock nib as the material was a little on the slim side and I couldn’t get a cap out if it that would be big enough to take a no6. Cheers Ash

Leveche with Beaufort upgrade nib in Mahogany

Hi guys, really like this kit, looks and feels premium. First time I've used it and the upgrade nib. I had to assemble the nib section myself and I can see it needs to go in further, what's the best way to push it in without damaging it? Cheers Dougie

    Turkey Oak

Hi all, Never turned Turkey Oak before and , in truth, never heard of it. What a lovely wood it is and it turns well, or rather this piece did. Made this for a local firm as a give away. All for free, of course. Just trying to keep myself occupied in these rather difficult unprecedented...

    Shellac....or maybe I shouldn't have.

Hi everyone, Just a quick question please. I am turning a large platter as a wedding present for a friend. I have applied 4 coats of wax free shellac to the underside and wondering what would be the best high closs finish to use bearing in mind the current weather conditions and temerature...

    Tortoise Keyhole

This is tortoiseshell cellulose acetate (modern). The customer wanted the keyhole breather in the nib which I think is a nice touch. It’s a 14k Bock. Cheers Ash

    Something different

I am not too sure about this now. It looked ok during dry fit in the workshop, but now not too sure. Turned out of maple wood. It's different that's for sure. The stem could be a little thinner amd so could I :funny::funny::funny: Cheers Frederick

    Goldfinch

I made this for a lady who has enjoyed watching goldfinches in her garden during lockdown. She asked for something to capture the essence of them, so I made the blank myself. (Why couldn’t she have picked Blackbirds instead?). Anyway I think it’s pretty close. Cheers Ash
