    This is something I had been meaning to try for a while. Alder cones (I refuse to call them mini pine cones) cast in PR. I stabilised them first using wood hardener and a very weak vacuum using a hand vacuum pump. I had quite a few chip outs that had to be repaired, so I'm not sure how effective...
