The short story is that this took about a year of head scratching. The cross inlay I had done previously in a simple segmented design, but I always wanted to figure out how to include an oval design as a picture frame. My hope is to now try 5-10 other designs inside of the picture frame.

Can these be made from a pen kit or are they a kitless design, anyone know? Also if anyone has a link to a tutorial for something like this and some uk available timber suggestions I'd appreciate it.
