    Long time since I posted. Been without a workshop most of the year while I waited to build my new one. Meant to start middle of March but the world came to a standstill - well Scotland did anyway. So finally managed to get the landscapers in beginning of August. Started the workshop build...

    Derek gifted me an Elm blank which I am trying to turn into a potpourri bowl. Not finished yer as I have had to secure some cracks and waiting for the adhesive to cure. But this is what it looks like at the moment. I think it Elm.....has a great figure. Cheers Frederick

    My first pens, having been woodturning for a while. I made them both out of elm burr. The blue one is a ProKraft Byron and the other is a Beaufort Ink mistral. I’ve applied a CA finish and I need to improve my technique, but I think that will come with practice. Ash
