Long time since I posted. Been without a workshop most of the year while I waited to build my new one. Meant to start middle of March but the world came to a standstill - well Scotland did anyway. So finally managed to get the landscapers in beginning of August. Started the workshop build...

Derek gifted me an Elm blank which I am trying to turn into a potpourri bowl. Not finished yer as I have had to secure some cracks and waiting for the adhesive to cure. But this is what it looks like at the moment. I think it Elm.....has a great figure. Cheers Frederick

A long, long time ago I sent Brad some pieces of elm burr which he kindly cast into hybrid blanks for me. I have finally found time to start using some of them. This is the first on a chrome and black ti Sierra.

My first attempt at a celtic knot using maple veneer sandwiched between two lengths of drinks can. The timber is elm. Not 100% accurate, I'm going to have to improve the wee jig I made.

I can't remember what this wood is. It could be Yew or Elm. Celtic knot is Walnut veneer. Cheers Frederick
