    I found some veneer on the web as I wanted to use wood as the inserts rather than plastic cards. Did have some issues and had to do some repair work on the knot, now hidden, mostly, by the clip. Tried as I said in another thread to polish 6 coats of sanding sealer with micofine - that did not...

    Purpleheart Pen....cil

    Ok it's not a pen, but pencil! First attempt using some purpleheart, this isn't as purple as I'd like. I've cut some more blanks and put them on the kitchen window sill as I've heard sunlight can help return a better colour....we'll see! Regards Padster
