Finally had a go at making a pen with snakeskin. It is from a watersnake which are from north America I think? The skin itself is from the 1960's.
This is the first time I have worked with snakeskin but it was relatively easy, I just had to mount the skin onto leather first as the skins are...

The photos don’t really do them justice, as the resin has polished up very nicely, but look quite dull in the photos.
